The Game.
This season's game is Ultimate Goal and presents new challenges to the FIRST lineup. The game includes two main objectives:
1. Collecting and shooting rings into a tower goal or power shot 2. Controlling a wobble goal to deposit Although the game seems relatively simple, its difficulty comes in implementing efficiency and optimization. |

Our Robot
Iteration 1: Zed
Our robot has a U-shaped polycarbonate shooter with a weighted flywheel in order to shoot rings into the high tower goal. Because we wanted more flexibility, a servo allows us to adjust the shooter's angle, which lets us shoot adaptively at the bars or each level of the tower. The arm picks up wobble goals with ease; no precision needed. It allows for a greater margin of error compared to other designs, and therefore saves a lot of time. Zed won multiple awards in the Google and Daly City qualifiers.
